Frosty Comes to Town!

I am just beside myself that it snowed twice in the same winter! I don't think that has ever happened for us in the south! Atleast, not that I can ever recall!

And it didn't just snow but we got tons of snow! My front and back yards are covered, and I don't expect it to go anywhere for a few days.

When it snowed the day after Christmas, I waited too long to go out there that it had already started to melt when I went to take pictures of the girls in it.

But Today,it was still snowing when I went out to build them a Frosty!

I think this is the 1st time I ever made a snowman, and I have to say he turned out pretty darn cute! Although, his life was very short lived.

If you are friends with me on facebook then you already know the story of Frosty's demise, but for those of you who don't know I will share with you.

Our dogs 1st intimidated him w/ their vicious growls, then insulted him w/ their pee, then happily ate his strawberry nose & chocolate eyes and then as if they havent done enough, they stole his hat!
But that wasn't all, when I came back later to check on Frosty, I was very sad to see that they mutilated every part of Frosty's body and then crushed him into the ground!!

Can you believe, how rude? I mean don't they know that it took me an entire hour to bring Mr. Frosty into our lives?

Gee Wiz.

Guess Who??

Went Poo?? :)

This afternoon Molly was due for another suppository and I am very nervous to give them to her myself.

I am so thankful for friends like Ms. Deborah and Jessica who are always around when I seem to need them the most.

And not just for suppository's...they do so much for our family and we feel so blessed to have them in our lives!

We Love Our Me-mez as Ms. Deborah calls herself :)

Jessica and Ms Deborah came over last night and Jessica did Molly's 1st suppository for me.
Molly pitched quite a fit when she had this done, which made me super nervous about her needing another one.

Well When it was time for her to have one today, Jessica was at work so I asked Ms. Deborah to do it for me and she did.

And I am so thankful that she did it because not only did she do it, but she also showed me a different way that it could be done to where Molly didnt cry when it was being inserted.

The suppository that she takes the Dr instructed that she take 1/4 of it,because it is an adult not a child suppository. Well, when it is cut into 4 pieces the suppository is then round. And a larger round thing being pushed into her hiney, was not very comfortable for her.

So,Ms Deborah cut her one big round piece into two, and then because a suppository is waxy, she was able to shape a tip onto the two pieces and insert them one by one more smoothley that way.

And she played and talked with Molly the entire time, and had Molly giggling which made me feel more comfortable about her needing this done.

No one likes to see their baby upset, in pain, or uncomfortable!

I am a new Mom,and sometimes things are a little bit scary and it's always nice to have someone you can lean on for support and to help make you more comfortable about doing things you aren't quite comfortable doing by yourself.

The idea of sticking something into my child's hiney made me nervous, especially after I saw how she reacted to it being done the 1st time. So, I just needed to see it done a few times so that I could feel comfortable about doing it on my own.

About 2 hours after Ms. Deborah gave Molly her suppository today, she had a messy diaper!

Which is why she is in the bathtub in that picture! :)

Now, the goal is for Molly to be able to have a normal BM without needing to strain and cry to get it out.

Her BM today, was not "normal". It was very runny, diahrea type. But, I feel like that is just due to all the laxatives, prunes, and suppository's she has had that has softened her up. Since she was able to get something out, we will lay off the suppository's until her next BM.

Hopefully her next BM will be more normal, and I am praying she can have it without needing to cry and strain! If she does then YAY maybe our problem is finally solved!

If not, then with some Jessica supervision, I just may be brave enough to try Ms. Deborah's brilliant way of giving Molly her suppository. :)

For now, I am just glad that she got SOMETHING cleaned out, having a tummy full of yucky has been awful for her. She has had zero appetite, and who can blame her?

Now maybe she will want to eat again and more often!

Update on My Molly

Hey Guys,

The Peditricians office finally called me this evening.

They said that the test they did today was a more extensive look at her colon and based on the results today her colon seems to be normal in size and working properly.

She does have excess build up and they want me to give her a suppository tonight and tomorrow as well as her laxative twice a day and if after tomorrow she still hasnt been able to go to the bathroom they will refer her to a specialist.

Molly has been on prunes daily for a few weeks now, and has been taking laxatives twice a day this week, and she had a enema as well as a suppository and she is still having trouble being able to go to the bathroom.

We aren't sure what is causing this problem but the good news is, it isn't her colon not working properly which is what we originally were told.

I am hoping in the next day or 2, she will be able to go on her own without having to strain, cry and throwup like she has been doing.

So just keep praying that she can have this problem resolved and that it will be an easy fix and nothing major wrong with her.

I am extremely thankful that the test today brought us good news!

I don't understand how the test today, showed something totally different than the x-rays the other day but I am not complaining. :)

My Poor Sweet Molly

My poor baby girl has been having a hard time for quite sometime now, trying to use the restroom.

Everytime I have taken her to the DR I get the same stinkin hand out on what to do for constipation.

Well this past Monday was her 4th time in 3 days straining so hard that she threw up out of her nose and mouth. And while she is straining she is screaming at the top of her lungs so loud, because she is in so much pain. And afterall that drama, there is little to nothing in her diaper.

So I called the Peditrician and they said they could see me the next day, and that wasnt good enough for me. So, I told them that they could see her now, because I was on my way.

On the way to the Dr Molly has another episode, and I have to pull over on the side of the interstate and just hold her while she is throwing up and straining and crying.

Finally got her back in the car seat and to the Dr, and she had another episode while we were waiting to be seen.

I told them that I did not want another handout on what to do for constipation, I wanted to know WHY my baby could not use the bathroom.

So, the Dr came in and ordered her some X-rays.

We went over to another office for the x-rays and they wouldn't really tell us what they found, they wanted her Dr to tell us.

So the next Morning ( Tues, Jan 4th)I called her Dr, and they told me that according to her X-rays it appears that her Colon is not the size it is suppose to be, and that there is a narrowing of her colon and that is why she can't pass her BM's.

Inorder to find out exactly how small her colon is and what is going on, and how to treat her, they have to run more test.
So all day yesterday I called and called their office until they gave me the exact day, time, and place of her appointment for her test.
Because I was not going to let them treat my child who needs honest medical attention, as just another name on a list. I am a worried momma who needs answers.

So,all of that leads us to Today.

They scheduled her test for 9am this morning.

Here is my Sweet Molly in her hospital gown today. It's a little fuzzy, as cell phone pics aren't the greatest.

They had to strap her down on this table and she was such a big girl about it. She laid still and didn't fight or squirm.

But she was holding on to each of my hands with each of her hands. Everytime, I moved she would squeeze my fingers really tight, in fear that I was about to let go of her. :(

I had to keep telling her I wasnt going anywhere.

Once they had her strapped down, they inserted a camera in her thru her hiney and shot this dye in her so that they could get a clear picture of her colon.

While she was on the table they had to keep turning her all the way to the left, all the way to the right, and everytime they would turn her she would be so far over that she was almost upside down.

So when they would turn her, I would try to let go of one of her hands so I could support her head, but she wouldnt have it. She had a death grip on mommy's hands. She didn't want to let go for anything. I had to force one of my hands away from her just to be able to support her head when they had her turned.

Everytime she would start to cry out of discomfort, I would try to divert her attention and make her laugh. So I would say in a really silly voice "How Doosa, Mr Poosa?" and she would just giggle so loud!

How many babies can you get to laugh out loud while they have some stranger sticking foreign objects in their hiney??

My precious girl is such an angel and she did so well today, it definitley made me so very proud of her.

And of course her being calm and relaxed helped me be calm and relaxed.

They told me that they were going to fax the results to her peditrician and he would have them by lunch time.

Well lunch time came, and I called them and they said he hasnt read the results yet.

So, I am anxiously waiting, on pins and needles, to find out the results from her test.

I am so nervous about what it means that her colon isnt the size it is suppose to be. Every single time she tries to go the bathroom it is such a huge ordeal for her, so Please pray that whatever is going on can be an easy fix and nothing too serious.

My sweet baby has had such a rough journey so far, I am just ready for her to be healthy so that she can enjoy being a baby without needing so much help.

Thank you for praying for her, and as soon as I know the results I will try to update.
