Remi's Pony Party

Molly & Emma's friend Remi celebrated her 2nd birthday today!
Her party was so much fun!

The girls loved playing in the bounce house

I don't even know how many times they went down this slide!

There was also a pony ride at Remi's party!

The birthday girl on the Pony!

Waiting with Daddy for their turn on the pony

Emma got right on & immediately put on a show!
She was making silly faces

Bouncing up & down

And grinning ear to ear on that pony!

So Precious!

She really got excited when the pony started walking her around!

Molly's turn!

Sweet Molly's turn on the pony didn't last as long

She was a good sport & did not cry but it was obvious she was nervous.

She kept her chin & eyes down most the time

We put her sissy on there with her to see if she would relax a little more...

She immediately threw her arms around Emma, & said
"Sissy!" and grinned as big as she possibly could!

Here is the above picture up close :)
So sweet! So in love with each other!

I am SO proud of my babies for riding that pony! I remember the very first time they saw a goat.
Meltdown central!
And now they are taking pony rides like a champ!
Oh my babies are growing up on me so fast!

Happy Birthday to you Remi! We sure did have a blast at your party!

23 Months

Just a few short weeks away from my babies turning two! Pinch me, shake me, scream in my ear or something because I just can't believe it's true!

Emma Grace,

You have really started poppin' with some personality these past few weeks!

You have become more outgoing, friendly, & social with others. You have discovered sentences finally and you love talking!! Your most common phrases are " where sissy go?, where daddy go? where mommy go? where sophie go? where cup go?" LOL always wanting to know where someone or something went!
Every single time you want to tell or ask me something you always start out by saying "mommy...." in that sweet high pitched voice of yours.

I love it! I love hearing you say my name! and just hear you talking period. you have the cutest voice!

If Sissy, Sophie, or the Baby ( ross, whom i babysit) are crying you always get this concerned look on your face & ask, "is sissy (sophie or baby) okay?"

You are pickier than ever about your eating habits right now. And I am always on my toes trying to figure out different ideas of what you may like. If you don't like what I am trying to feed you, you will tell me no & whine.
BUT...you do have a new found love for green beans & strawberries!! Who'da thunk it???

If I put "approved" foods in front of you for you to feed yourself, you will eat until you are full but then you will start hiding the rest! You have learned that throwing your food on the floor is not allowed. So what do you do instead??? You take piece by piece and tuck it up under your chunky thighs!
Silly girl, do you not realize that when I take you out of your high chair, I am going to see every last bite that you were sitting on?? lol

Due to you always trying to take your diaper off, & also coming to tell me when you went "poo poo" Mommy has been trying to encourage the potty chair. We are not training yet, but I am trying to get you familiar with the idea of it.
We have your potty chair in the bathroom & whenever mommy goes potty I ask you if you have to go potty too & you always seem like you are on board but the minute I try to sit you on it, you say no & take off running. lol  And it's fine. I know the day will eventually come.

You & Molly love to give me a heart attack. Many times I have caught you trying to climb over the back of the couch & every time I catch you boogers, my heart skips a few beats as I envision you both tumbling over, face first, smashing into the glass table that sits behind it!

You seem to be enjoying books now more than you have yet. So maybe we should stock up on lots of books? we have some but not a whole lot. And my word your obsession with Mickey & Minnie just continues to grow! So apparently, I need to add a whole bunch of them to your bookshelf! You would prob never stop reading then! lol

You also love brushing your hair and looking at yourself in the mirror. It's so precious to see you say hey to the baby in the mirror!

You have a lot of drama in you. :) Below are the many pouty faces of Emma.
You never have a single tear in your eye during these episodes. It cracks me up!

Pouty Face #1

#2

#3
(so fake it's hilarious!)

#4
(you can't be any more convincing than that? ;-D)

#5
(the evil eye!)

#6
("maybe if I throw myself down & pout she will believe me")

And the WINNER goes to....
#7!!!
(haha now THAT is some real pouting!)

Despite how real or fake your pouting may be...your sissy is a sucker for it.
Here she is giving you some love, while you do what you do. :)

Oh but Pretty Girl, when you smile....
nothing but joy fills the room!

You also love playing pretend now. Many times I have caught you with your barbie dolls making them "walk" while you talk. Or you will be saying " hi mommy, daddy, sissy" while pretending to talk on your phone.  I just can't get enough of these sweet moments!

Whenever Mommy dresses you now, you have actually started asking for bows!!! haha
I so love it! "Bow mommy? where bow go?" lol

Mommy has always made a "dramatic" entrance in the mornings when I first see you, or in the afternoons when I go in to get you from your nap. Or whenever I leave to go somewhere & come back. I will walk through the door & with so much excitement I will say " HI!!!! BABIES!!!!!"

And so now in the mornings, or whenever it is that you 1st see me, you will look at me & say
"Hi! Babe!" haha Instead of saying "Hi Mommy" you will say "Hi Babe" because that is what you hear me say, so you think that is what is suppose to be said.
It melts my heart every time! You are just so darn precious!

Anytime Daddy leaves for work you love to follow him to the door, and as he is walking out you say " bye daddy" as you are shutting the front door behind him. :)

You are a really great helper. You do great at cleaning up your toys, or taking something ( toy, cup, etc) to sissy that you want her to have.

Sweet Lil Emma Gracie, I am one proud Momma because of you! I wish you could stay my baby forever & ever! But I am thankful every day, that God chose me to be the Mommy that gets to raise you & watch you grow!

windblown hair w/ a peculiar look on your face
xoxo

Love you Baby! Happy 23 Months!

Miss Jolly Molly!

You are just the sweetest snuggliest little thing! You are such a ham, & you make friends most anywhere we go!
But you have been doing this bashful thing at times where you want to hide your face when someone is talking to you. I guess it just depends on your mood at the moment, if you are going to be shy or not.

You are definitely my girly girl! You love wearing pretty clothes & you have a big thing for shoes right now! You love love love shoes! Mommy bought you a pair of shiny red dress shoes to wear with your birthday outfit, & once I tried them on you...there was no taking them off you! You literally went to bed with your shoes on that night! Once you fell good & asleep, I had to tip toe back into your room several hours later & take them off you. :)

My heart becomes pure putty in your hands when I am sitting down & you crawl up in my lap & just randomly give me a kiss! I LOVE that so much! And your kisses are always followed by a precious sweet grin.

And I totally get the warm fuzzies when you come up to Mommy & just start playing with my hair!!!
In these kind of moments, you are just as pure & innocent as they come.
Speaking of hair...I am SO glad you have enough of it that I can now give you floppy pig tails!
You sport them so well! ;)

Anything Sissy does, you have to do too! If sissy is all done with her food, you will be too. If Sissy takes her bow out her hair, you will too, if Sissy wants her cup, you want your cup too. Both of you girls are so in love with each other! You can't be apart for more than 5 minutes without asking "where sissy go?"

And you are also ALL about some "Soapy"!!! (Sophie)

Every day that her Mommy comes to pick her up, you immediately start asking where soapy is going. And You are always asking about her, especially on the weekends when she doesn't come over.  "Soapy Soapy Soapy" you love her!

When you get hurt you will say with this pitiful sounding voice "oh-we, oh-we"
And when you are doing something fun it's "weeeee, weeeee"

Emma taught you that it is fun to fall backwards on to your couch and flip. Of course saying "weeee" the entire time!

My little dare devils in action!

You also love singing! You really only know the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse song, lol but it is SOOOO stinkin' adorable listening to you sing it! I could listen to you all day long!

Whenever Mommy ask you if you want to watch Mickey, you smile as big as you can & run & plop down in your mini sofa Aunt Toni bought you. You & Emma love to lounge in that thing!

I find it super hilarious when I catch you sitting in your sofa with your mouth hanging open, eyes glued to the TV, & your laptop open sitting in your lap.

I tried to catch you in the moment but you caught me & gave me a smile. :)

If I would let you, you could watch Mickey all day without blinking. But I have started designating "tv time" in efforts to keep you girls entertained in more productive ways.

You are doing pretty good at recognizing "flash cards". Of course shoes is always the first thing you like to point out, and whenever you see a cow you will say "mooo" instead of saying "cow" :)

We are trying to work on pronouncing our ABC's. Your version of some of the letters, just makes me smile.
I love that you know the first 3 letters of the alphabet in order! Hey...learning starts somewhere! I'm proud!

I have been trying for what seems forever now, to get you girls to start asking when you want something instead of just whining leaving me to play the guessing game.
And we are finally making progress in this area with you!!!
Whenever you are hungry you will actually tell mommy "nack, nack" (snack, snack), or "minmie minmie" when you want me to turn Minnie Mouse on Tv for you.  "Cuh" (cup) for more milk, & "Paci" when you are ready for bed!

Yay for progress! :)

Just like Emma, you too have some awesome pouty faces!
Here are 3 of my favorite looks you give:

#2

#3
(hahaha love this- sas & all!)

Molly, in all these ways, & so many more, you make my heart overflow with pride. As your 2nd birthday is approaching, I have caught myself a few times lately in tears. Just can't stop wondering how my big girl, with pony tails & a love for all things girly got to be so big-so fast. I am so proud of you!

Happy 23 Months Baby girl!

Jackson's 5th Birthday

Today Molly & Emma went to their cousin Jackson's birthday party!

I unfortunately, was too busy trying to keep up with my girls that I didn't get to take any pictures, but there are a few moments about today that I would like to share.

When we 1st got there the girls were their usual "cling to mommy" selves. But it didn't take long for them to realize that running around getting into things was way more fun!

Jackson's party was at the studio where he takes Karate. So there were obstacle courses & such set up for the older kids to enjoy, & the "courses" were divided up by those big orange parking cones.

My kids however, have never really been ones to you know...go with the flow or be apart of anything that involves structure or boundaries. haha

So I say that to say, the very 1st thing they did when they finally left my lap was what??? They went after all the  big orange cones of course. Just picked them things up & ran without a care in the world. :)
(even though I say "they" Molly was definitely the instigator on this one!)

Once their Aunt Stacey told me it was fine, I was relieved & just gave up on trying to stop them.

At one point the other kids were getting ready to do a Pinata. Well, I could just see my girls running up & getting knocked in the face with that big stick, or getting trampled on by a bunch of kids excited to see candy hit the floor, so I decided to take them outside to run around & play in a field next to the studio.

I gave it a while thinking surely someone had knocked down that Pinata by now. And when we walked back in I was surprised to still see the kids taking turns to hit it with the stick! The girls 3 yr old cousin Savannah was the next one in line for a turn at the pinata and low & behold if she wasn't the one to knock it down! Yay Savannah! I was surprised out of all those big kids, she was the one that did it!
Never underestimate the power of pretty petite little girls, apparently!

So anyways, candy scattered & all the kids went every which way to scoop up the candy & toss it in their goodie bags & once it's all over I let Molly & Emma back on the floor to run around.

Well this is where I should say you should also never underestimate the intelligence of  pretty petite little girls either! Emma runs clear across the room & sneaks up behind this kid & snatches their bag of candy from them & takes off running with it!

I could not believe it! LOL My sneaky child knew there was something fancy goin on about that Pinata, & all those bags. I just had no idea she knew! :)

Happy Birthday Jackson! We know you had a wonderful time celebrating the big 5!!

PS: the best part of the entire day today, was I got my very 1st speeding ticket!!! BOO!!!
Lexington County is about to be $80 something dollars richer because of me!

Valentine Babies

It's Valentines Day!

This morning we started off celebrating by giving the girls each 10 heart shaped bangles
 & a Minnie purse w/ matching glasses. :)

Playing with their "pretty" as they call it!

On Tuesdays the girls have Speech Therapy & in honor of Valentines day their
Therapist brought lots of Valentine goodies!

The girls got to decorate doughnuts for snack!

Emma anxiously waiting her turn!

Molly digging in!

Then we painted our toes for the very first time!
Pink of course!

Molly's Piggies :)

Emma's Piggies!

We also made crafts together. Emma, Molly, & Sophie
each participated in making cards for their parents & grandparents!

Emma sticking the eyes on Mrs. Heart :)

After Mrs. Nancy left, it was nap time and boy did my girls have a nap time surprise for me!
They both took off their dirty diapers and tossed poo all over the place!
Little stinkers!
We have had to start putting diapers on backwards & layering onesies under their clothes & all kinds of
other tricks at bedtime!

After nap time was over we played outside for a bit!
Sweet girls prancin' around with their new purses!

Love my precious dolls!!!

Hehe Silly Molly!

I just love this pretty girl!
Emma Grace

Oh Molly, if only you were always this innocent!

Later this evening I took the girls to dinner with a dear girlfriend of mine & we met
My mom & brothers there as well.
(daddy was working ;-/ )
Their Granny made them some precious hats & scarves & brought them ring pops & valentine balloons!
When we got home the girls played their hearts out with those balloons!
