Memorial Milestones!

Today is Memorial Day and it is also the first time I saw my baby girl take steps all by herself!

Emma loves to walk everywhere holding someones hand, and today while her Papa Rabon was  holding her hands walking her through the house, he let go of her hand just long enough to say "go see Mommy" and sure enough she took 4 big girl steps all by her big girl self!

I know it won't be long before she is running through the house, saying, "Come on, Molly!" :)

I wish I had a picture of Emma on this day but unfortunately this is all I got...a blurry cell phone shot!

14 Month Checkup!

The Girls 12 Month Checkup Blog was never posted because at 9 months when they were due for their shots they were sick so it got pushed back to 10 months which means their 12 month shots were pushed back to 13 months except they didnt have any appointments available for whatever reasons so at 14 months they finally got their shots. :-)

So Here We Are!

Emma: 17lbs 13oz...just 3oz shy of 18lbs! -10th Percentile for Weight
            28 3/4 length- 10th percentile

Molly: 15lbs 13oz...this is why we call her skinny minnie :)- 3rd-5th percentile for weight.
            27 3/4 length-3rd-5th percentile

And I don't have the numbers right infront of me so I am not so sure what their Head Circumferences were but I know that they were both in the 50th percentiles.

My itty bitty girls are going to be 3 years old before they weigh enough to get out of their rear facing carseats. lol :)

Emma, at 14 months  you're adjusted age is really 12 months and you are totally amazing me by all of the things you know how to do!

  • You can feed yourself finger foods.
  • You clap to hear mommy say "yay" when ever I am feeding you  and I tell you it is "all gone. "
  • You clap when you are excited
  • You are pulling up on everything in sight
  • You are so close to walking!
  • You are a climber! You love to climb on everything you can!
  • Whenever I say "love sissy" you say "awww" as you are hugging her
  • You say daddy (not da-da but daddy)
  • Your newest word that totally makes me smile is when I hear you say THANK YOU!
  • You also open and shut your hand when saying thank you because you have seen mommy do this countless times because I am normally trying to get you to hand me something you arent suppose to have lol
  • You waive bye-bye
  • You have mastered the sippy cup and you aren't very picky about what I put in it for you. You even drink plain ole water!
  • You jump up and down using your bottom every time we say "bouncy bouncy bouncy"
  • You even jump using your feet when you are in your crib
  • You are very mischievious. You open up the fridge and pull things out
  • You open up kitchen cabinets
  • You open up your dresser and empty it out then climb in it
  • You are a Mommy's girl! You love for mommy to hold you and love on you. But when I have to put you down you dont seem to stay upset too long. :)
  • You catch on to things very quickly and you love to explore
  • You mimick by blowing raspberries or by clicking your tongue
  • You go down very easily for bedtime and naptimes. Of course you have occassional bad days but most of the time I just give you love, tuck you in, and out you go.
  • You sleep in the most adorable ways!!(notice those sweet feet!)

  • You like to walk on your knees instead of crawl
  • You also walk like a bear  by "crawling" using your hands & feet (not knees but feet)
  • You have 2 bottom teeth but your 2 top teeth are very close to breaking the skin
  • You have the sweetest high pitched voice! I cant wait to hear you talk in full sentences so that I can hear that sweet voice all day long :)
  • You are a tough girl! But you are also sensitive!
  • You are Emma with a Tempa! When you are really tired &  something upsets you, girl, you throw the most insane fits! Im talking beet red, raspy voice, kicking & screaming across the room. :)
  • But more times than not you are very sweet, very loving, very funny, and ALWAYS mommy & daddy's very special little girl.
Molly, at 14 months you're adjusted age is really 12 months.  You are making Mommy & Daddy very proud of all the things you know how to do.

  • You are feeding yourself finger foods
  • You clap when mommy is feeding you and I tell you the food is "all gone"
  • You clap when you are excited
  • You are pulling up and more times than not you really have to focus while you are doing it because it takes a little extra strength for you to do it. So everytime I see you do it, I feel so much pride for you.
  • You are crawling every where on your hands & knees.
  • You are climbing! You love to crawl over & through the 4 legs of your highchair
  • You are opening up cabinets
  • You open up the fridge
  • You have the sweetest smile. You smile so big with your gums shut that your bottom teeth touch your top gum. I am going to miss that when your top teeth start showing!
  • You have 2 teeth still but your 2 top teeth are just days away from breaking the skin
  • You say Momma! Yes, I do atleast have ONE child that says it!
  • You also so Da-Da :)
  • You say "awww"  while trying to kiss Emma, whenever mommy tells you to give sissy love
  • You try to do everything Emma is doing
  • You also empty out your dresser!
  • You bounce up and down when you hear "bouncy bouncy"
  • You are very much a Mommy's Girl! You never ever want mommy to put you down! And there are a lot of days that I don't want to put you down either :) but you are not so understanding about the times that I HAVE to put you down :)
  • You are very senstive
  • You like to mimick by clicking your tongue or by blowing raspberries!
  • You have watched your sister climb out of her highchair so many times that you are now doing it
  • You too have the sweetest little voice and I can't wait to hear what you are going to sound like as you start saying more things!
  • You are waiving bye bye
  • You are in a tantrum phase
  • Naptimes & Bedtimes with you are a breeze!
  • You make the BEST facial expressions! Your face shows how much personality you really do have. You have had mommy laugh until she cried over some of the faces you make!
  • You love scrunching your nose
  • You are our special little girl and I love how sweet, fun, and silly you are!

Happy Mother's Day!

*** I have posted this once already but blogger moved it to my drafts & deleted a lot of  it!
 So here it is again!***

Mother's Day Last Year
( Molly L & Emma-R)

 Mother's Day This Year!
(Molly-L & Emma-R)

I love being able to compare their Now & Then Pictures. It fascinates me to see how much they have changed & grown over time.

Being a Mom Fascinates Me. Their is no greater joy or love than that between a Mother & her Child.
While being a mom comes with tons of hardwork, it truly is the most rewarding thing ever. I love my girls so much, and I can't imagine ANYthing comparing to this warm, beautiful connection that is between me & my girls. Trying to describe what it's like for me as their Mom leaves me speechless & that's usually hard to do.
Molly & Emma have touched my soul in such a way, that I really don't even know how to put it into words.
All that I can really say is, what I have with them, and what I feel because of them is just Beautiful.

Thank you Molly & Emma for making me a very proud, blessed Mommy. One day, when you hold your own baby in your arms, you just may realize then how much I truly, deeply, love you!

How We Celebrated

Oh how blessed I am, to call them my own!
I Love My Family!

Rick bought me a beautiful diamond ring, with my Grandmother's birthstone in the middle of it for Mother's Day.
My Grandma has given me so many special things throughout the years, but I have really been wanting something  that I could keep on me 24/7 that could serve as a memoir of her, so this ring is incredibly special to me.
Thank you so much Rick for doing this for me. I know that you see in my eyes every day,
how I miss her so much. I wish that I could just feel her hug me one last time. Never Before...and Never Again...will there be anyone like her. She was amazing on so many levels, and You knew her long enough to know that about her too. Thank you for helping me keep her memory alive, by honoring me with such a special gift!

We also celebrated Mother's Day by having lunch at my favorite Buffet, Golden Corral!
I love that place! It's all the home cooked meals you could want, and you don't have to spend hours in the kitchen to prepare for it, or to clean up after it. :-)

My Mom, Sister, Brothers, & Then My cousin Tanna, her Husband, & Their Little Girl all joined us for lunch there as well.

Tanna, Kaylee, & Jimmy

My poor little Molly got really sick not long after we sat at the table & she ended up throwing up all over herself, and me. :-( I ended up not being able to enjoy lunch as much as I would have loved too, simply because once Molly got sick, I was just ready to get her home so she could be comfortable. She has caught some yucky tummy bug & I am hoping Emma is spared and doesnt catch it too. It is such a helpless feeling when your babies are sick & you can't do anything to make them better.

Once she got sick, I took her outside to try & calm her down while my mom cleaned up the mess, & Rick was tending to Emma. And then Tanna took over Emma for him, & he came outside to get Molly for me so I could go in to eat. After a while went by, He was able to calm Molly down & he came back inside &  Uncle Parker held her so Rick & I could hurry& eat.

While Parker was holding her she ended up falling asleep on his chest.

So precious, yet so pitiful at the same time!

Granny then needed her  turn!

Thank you Tanna for sharing this day with us!
I love you so much & hope that our girls will grow up being as close as we have always been!
After lunch, we came home & laid the girls down for a nap. While they were napping I went & joined Rick's Mom and 2 sister's for what was suppose to be a comedy. But I think I cried more than I laughed. :-)
But I am glad I went. It was a good movie.

Mother's Day gift For Rick's Mom:
All of her grandchildren together. We framed it in a Grandchildren Frame.

I love this!
What's not to love? :)
Ladies, I hope that you were able to celebrate being a mom,
with the people in your life who are special to you!
Happy Mother's Day!

I got all my brothas,& sista, & me

Today My two younger brothers & sister went & had our picture made together for our Mom for Mother's Day. This is only the 2nd time we have done this, & I am glad we did. I know one day when we are much older than almost 30....(sheeesh, shoot me!) we will look back & be glad we have these pictures together!

Kirasten, Me, Parker, & William

My husband was our amazing photographer ;-)

We had our pictures done @ the Botanical Gardens @ the Zoo.
I told my very spontaneous & active little brother William that if he did a good job & cooperated, that we would take him over to the Zoo part, so he could see the animals.

Don't you think this sweet little face deserved a "job well done"?? :-)

Well....I did! :-)

One last picture of all of us with the babies & then off to see the animals, we will go!

It's such a long long walk, from the Gardens to the Zoo, we decided to take the tram!

On the way to see the animals

We have arrived!
Silly Willie, was very excited. He could hardly contain himself!

Rick took William to feed the birds.

Me & My Sweet Emma!
And yes, I am an official brace face!!
I hate them but am thankful I only have to wear them 6 months!

The Zoo as always was a lot of fun.
While we were waiting for the Tram to pick us back up, William found a tree & wanted a picture.

So Here We Are! :-)

Daddy & Sweet Molly
Enjoying the view back through the zoo, to the gardens.

And Uncle Parker & Silly Emma
On the ride back.

I love being a big sister!
We had a nice time today!

Molly Crawls!

I can't believe it's really true! My baby Molly finally showed us today that she knows how to crawl on her hands & knees! She has been doing the army crawl for quite sometime, so to see her on all 4's is a huge accomplishment for her!
In the video, I am holding out some puffs ( her favortite snack) and she is making her way towards me, to get them. At the end of the video, you will see where she decided she wasn't doing the all 4's anymore, & she flops to her belly to army crawl. :-)
While army crawling is her preference, I am excited to know that she CAN infact crawl like a big girl when she wants too. :-)

YAY! Big Girl Molly! You are continually making Mommy & Daddy so proud of you!!
