Happy "15" Uncle Parker!

My baby brother is 15 today! It doesn't seem like it's been that long since he was born.
I love my sweet squooshy bubba bear!!!

The girls hand made Uncle Parker his very own birthday card.
Of course, they needed a little assistance :)

I know, I know! Wacky is wonderful, & so is that awesome card!! haha
I thought it was pretty cute, myself :)
The girls were proud of it. They kept saying "go-feee"  when they would look at it.

Rick had to work, but the girls & I met my mom, brothers, & sister at red Robin for dinner, then to marble slab for dessert. We had a great time celebrating Parkman's birthday!

On the Road Again

As mentioned in the previous post, we spent this past weekend in Florida with Pawpaw.
A lot happened while we were gone, but I would have rather been no place else.
Although, Terry did call me today & jokingly harassed (teased) me for missing the family trip to the mountains!!
All my sisters & brother, & nieces, nephew, & grandparents (terry's parents)  were there.
I know they had a wonderful time, & I hope that the next time it works out for us to go!

I wish that we could go to Florida more than we do, but I am incredibly thankful for the times that we do get to go.
I love my Pawpaw so much, & it breaks my heart  not knowing if  He will even be here, from visit to visit. :-(
If  there were any possible way, I could be there every single day... Trust me. I would.
But for now, I soak in all the time that we have.
Thank you for those of you that have been praying for him.
He has lost over 40 lbs, he really struggles to eat as the cancer has spread to his throat,  he sleeps a lot, but  through it all, he keeps his joy, & I  really admire  him all the more for that.

Pawpaw never complains, but instead finds ways to praise God through this cancer.
How does one do that??
He is a man of incredible strength. No doubt.

We spent pretty much all of our time this past weekend with Pawpaw. But there was one night that My Aunt  wanted to have dinner with him in honor of Father's day. So after we spent that particular morning/afternoon with Pawpaw , we took that evening while he was at dinner & met up with our Cousins Paul & Cheryl & then headed over to the beach.

Every time we go see Pawpaw, we always look for ways to bless him while we are there.
This time I feel like we were greatly accomplished in serving him!
From taking him grocery shopping, to cleaning every room in his house, doing his laundry, re-organizing his pantry, sorting through his loose papers, we made it all happen.
It felt so wonderful to be able to do so much for him, in the short amount of time we were there.
I wish that we could do more, more often.

Below are some of my favorite pictures from the weekend.

My Beautiful Molly!! I just love this pretty girl!

Happy Daddy's Day!

This Father's Day we were blessed to be able to spend it with Pawpaw.
This meant so much to me for many reasons.
I know that Pawpaw was greatly blessed by our time with him, and that alone means everything to me.
Before Terry (my step dad) came  into my life, and before I ever really had a relationship with my dad...there was Pawpaw. He was the first man I ever loved,  & he has played a significant role in my life from as far back as I can remember.
So to be able to spend this Father's day with him, was a true joy.

Father's Day Morning started out just right!
One of my favorite past times is Paw Paw's oatmeal.

Here the girls are enjoying their share :)

After breakfast, it was time for the pool!

Pawpaw walking the girls out to the pool area.

Daddy & Emma wasted no time.  But it took a little convincing before Molly was ready.
She loves the pool, but usually only REALLY loves it if Mommy is in there with her. :-)

Look at this big girl!!! She will be a pro before we know it.

Emma is super proud of herself for swimming!
Mommy & Daddy are proud too, baby!! :)

My little Dainty Priss!
She preferred to just sit on the side of the pool & get her toes wet this time. :)

Afternoon snack with Pawpaw!
Watermelon in the Sunshine

Look at all 3 of their giggles!!
They were laughing at Rick as he was showing off his diving board skills.
:-)

Nap time!
Pawpaw was highly impressed with how the girls just got comfy in their spots & went right out.

I have to say...these cute little faces sure do make me proud. :)

AND to My precious husband...
What  a beautiful soul you are. Such a fun loving, devoted, daddy to our girls, & they truly could not be more blessed. I am thankful every day, how hands on you are with our little family, &
I am incredibly proud of the person you are.

Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful Dad's in my life!!!

Potty Time

Do you SEE what I SEE?

In order to understand what a BIG deal the above picture is, you must first know that I have had their potty chairs sitting in the bathroom since CHRISTMAS!!
Every single time I have asked them if they want to sit on their big girl potty they have given me a very stern  no! And they never would sit on them...not even for a brief second.
So today, I thought..."hmmm, I wonder IF..."
So I moved the potty chairs to a more comfortable place for them (living room) bribed them with a little mickey mouse (yep, sitting on the pot in front of television..classic i know ;)) and sure enough they were all gun hoe about using their potty's!!!!

If my blog wasn't private I would never share this picture bc I am so private like that...but I am also proud & wanted to show off my baby girls finally sitting on the big girl potty!!

They sat there for well over 30 minutes! Never peed or pooped BUT actually getting them to agree to sit on it is HUGE! So, I am satisfied!
Maybe the living room will be the key to getting them willing to go potty!!
We shall see!

Beach Bums

The girls & I took a trip to Folly beach today with our friends Crystle & Colton. It was a much needed get away, & such perfect weather for us to be able to enjoy the day.
Enjoy the pictures!
