Today we had to say goodbye to our cribs! I had hoped we wouldn't have to do this until they were three but we did make it a month shy of my goal. :)
Rick text me this morning while I was at work and said Emma had fallen out of her crib but said that she was okay. :-(
I swear my heart stopped. Tears swelled up in my eyes, and I sulked about how I should have been there to love on her when she got hurt. Still struggling with this working mom thing. I absolutely love my job. But I still absolutely hate not being there for my kids 24/7. Especially when they need me.
Anyways, one fall and that's all it took. Bye Bye Crib. So thankful she did not get hurt. I really can't believe she fell out. She has never shown any signs before of trying to get out. One time a few months back, I walked in and saw Molly with her leg thrown up, and I thought then that was gonna be the time we had to get rid of the cribs. But it turned out, it was just a fluke, she never did it again. And we had never seen Emma try to do it either, but then down she goes. Right on to the floor. Landed on her back. Poor thing.
I am sad that I did not get one last picture of them asleep in their cribs but tonight I was sure to get plenty of them getting tucked into their big girl beds.
Mommy giving Emma lots of night night love
Daddy tucking Emma in for the night
Molly getting night night kisses from Daddy
Sweet girl giving mommy night night love
Night Emma Grace! We are so proud of you being such a good girl
in your big girl bed!
Nighty night Molly Bear!
We are so proud of you for sleeping like a big girl tonight!
Lights out...sweet dreams....
NOT!
These silly girls got up about 45 times running back & forth opening their door, shutting the door, running to jump back in their beds and repeat....giggling the entire time. And I let them do it for about 20 minutes straight just because it was so cute seeing how much fun they were having exploring this new freedom they have been giving.
Not being locked up in a crib for the night, is apparently the next best thing to heaven!
Finally Daddy put a end to the fun lol and we had to really say good night.
I went in about 30 minutes later to check on them and this is what I found...
LOL Emma hanging off the bed
and Molly with her toes scrunched between the rails.
Good night my sweet loves!
xoxo
